Planning the work

Planting that fits the space

A narrow bed beside a path has different space to offer from an open border. Think about the room you want to leave for walking past, opening a gate or reaching other plants. Your enquiry can cover one small area; there is no need to plan work for the whole garden.

Tell us whether the planting area is sheltered or exposed, sunny or shaded. These details matter more than choosing plants on appearance alone. If you already have plants ready, send their names or a photo so the planting work can be discussed.

Request a planting estimate

Include the approximate length and width of the bed, along with any steps or narrow access on the way into the garden.
